Ten under Ten
Brands on the highstreet have been surprising me recently and I find myself enjoying more and more products from the more affordable end of the scale. Here are ten products under the £10 mark which I think are more than worth the money!
For my base I have been loving using the L'Oreal True Match Foundation, which gives a seamless medium coverage with a natural finish, and feels surprisingly lightweight on the skin. The glass bottle and the handy pump look more expensive & would make a lovely edition to any dressing table. The Bourjois Healthy Mix concealer has been one of my favourite products over the past year or so. It gives a pretty much full coverage whilst still having a creamy consistency, and doesn't crease or look 'cakey' underneath my eyes.
Another gem from Bourjois is their pot blush in 'Healthy Mix'. It's a perfect peach/coral shade which doesn't have any shimmer - and when paired with a highlighter creates a gorgeous flushed cheek. I normally pair it with the highlighter out of the Sleek Face Form Contouring & Blush Palette (Light), and I also love the contouring powder - although the actual blush shade in the palette I don't use too often. To finish off the under £10 for base products is the Beauty UK High Brow Kit, which contains two out of three shadows which I mix to create my perfect brow shade, a wax, a dual-ended mini brush and a pair of tweezers = brilliant value for money!
Eye-wise the Collection Work the Colour Nude Eye Palette has been a staple in my makeup bag for the past couple of months, and has every shade you would need for both day and evening looks. The shadows are buttery, pigmented and last all day on the eyelid when used with a good eyeshadow primer. The L'Oreal Super Liner Perfect Slim has also been a staple, as it's thin nib means I can make a very quick and easy wing, and the formulation doesn't smudge or fade throughout the day. On my bottom lashes I use the Rimmel Scandal Eyes Kohl Kajal in Bronze, and if you're looking for a brown, creamy and long-lasting liner for your waterline you would love this!
Finally, onto lips! I've picked out two of my favourite lipsticks - one of which has already been mentioned here, the Maybelline Colour Sensational Lipstick in Hot Plum. The other is another edition from Bourjois, in the colour 'Pechy Cosy' - a lovely warm toned peach/pink/nude (very similiar to Mac's Shy Girl).
